In accordance with UK and EU legislation please note that cakes, cookies and all other baked goods from Little Armadillo Cakes may contain the following 14 Allergens:
· Celery
· Cereals containing Gluten (including barley and oats)
· Crustaceans (such as prawns, crabs, lobsters)
· Eggs
· Fish
· Lupin
· Milk
· Molluscs (i.e. mussels and oysters)
· Mustard
· Peanuts
· Sesame
· Soybeans
· Sulphur Dioxides and Sulphites
· Tree Nuts (i.e. almonds, hazelnuts, walnuts, Brazil nuts, cashews, pecans, pistachios and macadamia nuts)
The most common allergens used are: Milk, Eggs, Gluten and Soybeans
Please advise of any allergies at the time of ordering, please be aware that my kitchen is not a “Free From” kitchen and as such I cannot guarantee that any products are completely free from allergens, however, I do have procedures in place and will happily bake items which do not contain allergens
It is the policy of Little Armadillo Cakes to be as inclusive as possible whilst ensuring that customers are not placed at risk of harm by being exposed to allergens that affect them.
This is achieved by:
1. All cakes, cookies and other baked items are made to order, at the time of ordering customers are asked to notify of allergens. All items are packaged with ingredient and allergy labels as required by legislation.
2. There may be occasions where products are available for general sale, for example, markets, community fairs or specific items placed for sale via etsy or via facebook. All items will be clearly labelled with ingredients and allergy labelling.
Allergy Friendly Baking (Nut Free, Gluten Free, Dairy Free, Egg Free, Soya Free)
The kitchen is in a home, this means that there is no guarantee that cross contamination will not occur. However, the following steps are made where customers identify an allergy.
1. The kitchen is deep cleaned including all surfaces, materials and equipment used for those products
2. The dishwasher is cleaned by running on an empty cycle to remove traces of contaminants
3. All bowls, utensils, pans and dishwasher proof equipment will then be washed to remove possible contaminants.
4. The oven is cleaned
5. Allergen free baking ingredients are stored separately to regular ingredients
6. Customers are advised that whilst every care has been taken traces of allergens may still be present
Little Armadillo Cakes reserves the right to decline any order for allergen friendly goods where the sole proprietor feels that the risk of contamination cannot be controlled, this is especially applicable for allergies to peanuts, tree nuts and gluten.
