About Us

Established in 2019, Little Armadillo Bakes is a small Home Based Bakery in Balmedie, Aberdeenshire. 

The Little Armadillo is me, Nikki, I've been baking for as long as I can remember and love to put a smile on peoples faces when they see and taste my cakes and Treats.

I started baking as a business when I moved to Houston, TX for 3 years, it was a job I could fit around my children and be at home for them. In my 2 years in business in Houston I built a strong business based around good quality ingredients and a love of baking. In 2019, we moved back to Balmedie, Aberdeenshire, Scotland and I started the process of getting my kitchen registered with Aberdeenshire Council, and Little Armadillo Cakes was born, registered with Aberdeenshire Council Environmental Health, Insured and ready to make the cake or treats that you are looking for.

The Armadillo reminds me of my time in Houston, TX, the 9 banded Armadillo is the State of Texas small animal, and my business, baking from home, is little, so that's me, The Little Armadillo.
